Aakash Tablet is set to bridge the big India DIGITAL DIVIDE. Its main objective is to provide students of India, especially in its countryside, a cheap alternative to PC. Through Aakash tablet, students in India would have access to good quality study content like video lectures, e-books etc.

If analyze it deep, there are some negative points of it as well. The tablet screen, which is pressure sensitive, responds rather slowly to gestures. It’s certainly not as dazzling as the high-end tablets but that can be expected by its price. Browsing Internet and running the apps, one could easily notice that the response time is also quite slow. Scrolling, for instance, is a swipe-and-wait affair. A goofy plastic cover protects the screen, slowing down the touch response considerably.

Overall impression that this tablet gives us that it is built for performance. Many of those likely to use or own the the Aakash Tablet will never have used a desktop computer, and it’s possible that they never will.

The Galaxy Nexus has been released as a phone that offers the best of Samsung and Google – a marriage of excellent hardware and excellent software. The device looks quite similar to the Nexus of old, though has many of the Samsung tweaks that make a phone a solid and undisputedly nice piece of work. While the hardware is fairly impressive, not all areas are the most cutting edge. What is really the standout feature of the Galaxy Nexus is the new Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android.

Samsung has included the same 1.2Gz chip in the Galaxy Nexus that it has in the Galaxy S2 – meaning it is a slouch in no way. The phone is very fast and also very capable and, with 1GB RAM, is better suited for multitasking and for slightly more ambitious use than devices like the iPhone 4S. With less hype surrounding it, Galaxy Nexus contracts are also available for a much more affordable price than those for Apple’s current flagship phone.

The phone itself impresses in the looks department and it is quite slim at 8.8mm and also feels a lot smaller than you would imagine it to be because of the rounded edges on the phone. In fact we found little problem fitting it into trouser or coat pockets and though it seems large it doesn’t feel much larger than many of the 4.3inch phones out there – which obviously works in its favour.

We must say we liked the Galaxy Nexus and can see Samsung doing quite well with this eagerly anticipated phone due to the mixture of power, innovation and the introduction of the excellent game-changing Ice Cream Sandwich. India’s Cellphone Demand to Reach 350m Units by 2020: Report

Demand for cellphones in India, is projected to increase up to 350 million units by 2020 in contrast to an predicted 130 million units in 2011, as per an Enrst & Young report in collaboration with FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry). India has been rated as the world’s 2nd largest wireless (or cellphone) market after China. This report projects that 505 million handsets will be manufactured in India by 2020. It recommends that government should establish manufacturing hubs for machinery and components that go into making cellphones. Currently, companies such as Samsung and Nokia are assembling some of their phones in India but their components are still being imported from China. This report also has statistics about the average selling price (ASP) of phones in India in 2010, which was Rs 2,300 and is estimated to rise up to Rs 2,950 by 2020.

The Motorola Photon 4G is Sprint’s latest specimen; it’s a right super phone with a dual-core processor, large qHD display, and WiMAX with a gimmicky 3D camera. Motorola further flavored things up with a dash of WebTop functionality.

The important thing is to line up the notches.)
Align the notch of the memory module with that of the memory slot and gently insert the module into the slot at a 45-degree angle.

STEP 5: After installing the memory into the computer, before you close your case, turn your computer back on. When the computer is powered back up, it may be necessary to go into the computer BIOS to let the system properly detect the new RAM that has been installed in the computer. You should see the new amount of memory displayed on your startup screens or in the properties for “My Computer“.

STEP 6: If you face any problem in with your new RAM, check some loose points by following these things.

Check the power cords. Is everything plugged in properly?
Check the module. Did both side clips snap to hold the module firmly in place? Try removing the module and replacing it to make sure it is seated properly in the slot.
Check the wires and cables inside your computer. Did you accidentally bump one of the cables inside your computer while you were installing your module? A loose hard drive cable can prevent your computer from booting up properly. Make sure all the cables are firmly in their sockets.

Samsung WB2000The Samsung WB2000 (also known as the Samsung TL350) is a new 10 megapixel compact camera aimed at serious photographers. The pocketable WB2000 features a 1/2.4-inch high-speed Back Side Illuminated CMOS sensor that provides 1,000fps shooting for videos and 10fps for still photos. In addition the Samsung WB2000 offers a 5x, 24-120mm ultra wide-angle lens, 3 inch AMOLED screen, manual control over exposure, ISO 80-3200, Dual Image Stabilization technology, Smart Range (High Dynamic Range), and even a RAW shooting mode. The Samsung TL350 is available in black for approx. 20,700 Indian Rupees / /-$349.99 / £319.99.

Fujifilm FinePix HS10The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 is a new super-zoom digital compact camera with a long list of headline-grabbing features. Looking and handling like a DSLR, the bridge-style Fujifilm HS10 is one of only 2 digital cameras in the world to boast a 30x zoom lens. On the HS10, the lens covers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-720mm and also features mechanical image stabilisation and twist-barrel manual zoom and focusing controls. Other highlights of the camera include a 10 megapixel back-illuminated sensor, a 3-inch tilting LCD monitor, electronic viewfinder with eye-sensor for automatic switching, full 1080p HD movie recording with stereo sound, Super High Speed movie capture at 1000 fps, high-speed continuous shooting at 10fps, full manual controls and support for the RAW file format. The Fujifilm FinePix HS10 is available at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of approx. 20000 to 23000 / £439.99 / $499.95 in the India, UK / US, respectively.

Olympus E-PL1The brand new E-PL1 is the third Micro Four Thirds camera from Olympus, following on from the E-P1 and E-P2 models which were launched in 2009. The Olympus E-PL1 is a more affordable mass-market camera, with a plastic rather than metal chassis, smaller and lighter body, and a redesigned user interface that’s simpler to use. The easy-to-understand, non-technical Live Guide provides direct on-screen control over key image effects like depth-of-field and sharpness, while the addition of a built-in flash makes the E-PL1 more versatile in low-light. Other key features of the E-PL1 include 12.3 megapixels, 2.7 inch LCD screen, sensor-shift image stabilisation, one-touch HD video recording, Supersonic Wave Filter for automated sensor cleaning, a sensitivity range of ISO 100-3200, 6 different Art Filters and 3fps continuous shooting for up to 10 raw images. The Olympus E-PL1 is available now in silver, black, blue, champagne gold and red at a retail price of 24000 – 28000 Indian Rupees / $549 body only, £549 / $599 for a single lens kit and £699 for a twin zoom kit.

Pentax K-r

The Pentax K-r is a new mid-range DSLR camera aimed at digital SLR novices and family users. The K-r combines the compact body and simplified layout of the cheaper K-x model with some of the advanced features of the prosumer K-7, most notably the auto-focus system and the LCD screen. The 12.4 megapixel Pentax Kr also has a few unique features of its own, including the fastest continuous shooting rate of any Pentax DSLR at 6fps, the widest ISO range (100-25600), infrared data transfer and support for AA and lithium-ion batteries. Other highlights of the K-r include an 11-point AF system with the active focus point shown in the viewfinder, 720p HD movies, high-resolution 3-inch LCD monitor, built-in shake reduction and anti-dust mechanism, dynamic-range expansion, in-camera High Dynamic Range, digital filters and a full range of automatic and manual shooting modes. The Pentax K-r is available in black, red or white and costs around 40,000 Indian Rupees / £599.99 / $599.95 with the 18-55mm DAL kit lens, and £699.99 / $849.95 with the 18-55mm DAL and 50-200mm DAL double kit lenses.

Canon EOS 7D

The Canon EOS 7D is an 18 megapixel digital SLR camera incorporating a new APS-C CMOS sensor designed and manufactured by Canon. Featuring a revised photodiode and microlens construction, the 7D’s sensor offers a versatile ISO range of 100-12,800. Other new additions include dual DIGIC 4 processors offering continuous shooting at 8fps, improved 19-point cross-type auto-focus system including Zone and Spot AF, Focus Colour Luminance metering system which measures from 63 zones, and an Intelligent Viewfinder with 100% frame coverage and 1.0x magnification. The Canon 7D’s 3 inch Clear View II LCD screen with 920,000 dot resolution is used for the camera’s Live View and Movie modes, with Full HD 1080 video supported. The Canon EOS 7D is equipped with an integrated Speedlite Transmitter, making it easy to control external Speedlite flashguns with no additional accessories required. The magnesium alloy body offers weather sealing, an Integrated Cleaning System and 150,000 release shutter durability. The Canon EOS 7D is available now for Rs.1,04,995 Indian Rupees / £1699.
