Nokia N9 Meego Slider & X5 Square Slider Phones

Nokia’s first MeeGo slider smartphone will be the Nokia N9? A slider phone that seems like an upgraded version of N8 with the addition of a QWERTY keyboard. This QWERTY keyboard is too flat & having a tilting display.
Another newly launched Nokia QWERTY CellPhone is the X5, a square slider phone, which has been officially announced in Singapore. The new X5 is quite different from the Nokia X5 announced in China a few months ago, and specifically targeted to young generation. Features include Symbian S60, social networking integration (Facebook, MySpace, YouTube) with notification feature, a small QVGA screen, and a 5MP camera.

The Nokia X5-01 will cost approx. $195. Coming in lots of colors including pink, blue & green.

Water Resistant Sony Walkman NWZ-W250 Series

Sony released a new water resistant, wearable Walkman “NWZ-250″. This tiny Walkman comes in both 2GB and 4GB capacity models, and apparently boasts an up to 11 hour battery life.

Weighing in at 43 grams and will be available in black, silver, lime green, and magenta. You’ll be able to pick up one (or more) of these later this month for $60. See the snapshot above.

Panasonic is going to launch its In-Dash CN-MW200D and CN-WM100D GPS gadget in this September. They both sport a 7-inch Touchscreen wide display. They also comes with iPod friendly connectivity so you can view your iPod Video on its 7-inch Wide Screen. Both pack the feature to support DVD, CD and HDD data playback plus a 2 DIN AV system. The difference is that the CN-MW200D comes with a Digital TV tuner while the CN-MW100D gets a 1Seg TV tuner. No price has been announced as yet.

Featuring a 3megapixel camera that shoots at 320 x 240 pixel resolution. Few days before, we’ve showed you the leaked pics of Sony Jalou Phone. Now, We’re confirming with pic and details of sony’s Jalou mobile. Sony Ericsson launched the Jalou, a fashion phone for the fashion conscious.

The phone is a sleek clamshell model that could easily slip into tight pants. The phone is more of a fashion accessory so not too much to expect on the high tech features. Still the phone is loaded with some decent features. TFT screen with a resolution of 240×320 QVGA. The phone has another screen which is active when the flap is closed which is a monochrome LCD. SatNav Technologies has announced the launch of a new gadget GPS enabled device the SatGuide PND Moov 300. The new personal navigation device (PND) is designed to provide hassle free road navigation with cutting edge features like voice prompted directions and a 4.3-inch touch-screen (480 x 272 pixels) for better user interface to its consumers. It doesn’t just come loaded with SatGuide maps but includes features like a calculator and digital entertainment features such as an audio player and video player which makes it as much a PMP as a GPS device.

The comprehensive SatGuide Maps include detailed road maps of 200+ cities and more than 15 Lakh destinations (points of interest) for customers to choose from. The maps are constantly enhanced and on the anvil are plans to grow this to 500 cities, 30 Lakh destinations, and ultimately the 6 Lakh villages across the country. Moov 300 comes with the latest WinCE 5.0 version and sports a 64 MB Flash with 512 MB RAM and supports external memory via SD/MMC cards. With regard to the media portion there’s no word on the kind of formats the device will support for either video or audio. The device is priced at Rs. 16,990 online at www.satguide.in.

The product is available at all major Large Format Retailers (LFRs) across the country. Stores like Ezone, Croma, Reliance Digital, HCL Digilife, XCite etc. Will also be sites for purchase. The device can be easily installed in vehicles and is accompanied with a USB cable and an in-car charger.
