Nokia Windows Phones Prices Reduces
After failed in competition and making lots of loss, Nokia a handset maker, reduced prices of its older smartphone models using Microsoft Windows. Nokia cuts the price of its mid-range Lumia 800 Windows Phone by approx. 15 percent and made smaller reductions on other Windows models.
Nokia told price cuts were a normal part of its business. Windows Phone 8 software is the basic reason for cutting the prices of current Lumia 800 and 900 devices. The price or roll-out dates of new models not revealed yet.
Recently Samsung, unveiled the world’s first Windows Phone 8 model, and new models from HTC and Google’s Motorola, which will be stiff competition for Nokia phones. Samsung has become the world’s largest smartphone maker as Nokia’s share of the market has plunged to less than 10 percent from 50 percent during its peak before the iPhone was launched in 2007.
