Windows Phone Hit Iceland & 12 Other Countries

The Windows Phone Marketplace has just arrived at your doorstep. Microsoft heralded its arrival in a blog post today. Those of you in Bulgaria, Iceland and a handful of different countries: the Windows Phone Marketplace has just arrived at your step.

 Window Phone’s global coverage to a complete of 54 countries and this number will continue to climb in 2012. The company hasn’t announced any dates yet, but it is expected to roll out the marketplace to the UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Israel, Thailand, and Vietnam.

We’re excited about all the new Marketplace locations, but there’s one recent addition worth special mention: China. Maybe you saw the news today about the Nokia Lumia phones coming to China Telecom. In less than three months, we’ve added 20,000 apps and 15,000 registered developers to our new China Marketplace.

hey i stay in india .bought my lumia in jan this year.i think inspite of the 20000 apps in the market.not many are worth downloading. unlike android basic apps that are refrained to a particular location havnt been added.apps like m-indicator;more so not many useful apps are for free.
