Welcome back!
Samsung generated great buzz for their new ultra-thin LED HDTVs at the CES 2009. Samsung unveiled their ultra-thin 6.5mm LCD panel & stole the show in terms of thinness, expect to OLED TV concepts. Imagine, how thin and how great are actually the new Samsung HDTVs that you can by in 2009?
The new top of the line Samsung HDTV line-up consists of the Samsung Luxia 8000, 7000 and 6000 HDTVs.
The new Samsung 3rd generation LED HDTVs use LEDS as their primary light source, rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL). Benefits of using LEDs include ultra-high contrast ratios, slim depths that allow for more artful designs, plus increased energy savings.
The Samsung Ultra Clear Panel further allows the preservation of every detail even in brightly-lit, imperfect viewing conditions.
The Samsung Luxia 8000 Series uses the new refresh rate of 240Hz that nearly eliminates the ill effects of displaying quick, action-packed motion. The Samsung Luxia 7000 and 6000 Series use still the 120Hz technology.
The Samsung Luxia 6000 and 7000 series will be offered in 40, 46 and 55-inch sizes and the top of the line Luxia 8000 series only in 46 and 55 inch sizes. Samsung plans to ship the new Luxia LED HDTVs in the first half of 2009. Prices are not set yet.
